PP2A-B55-γ Antibody (OS-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PP2A-B55-gamma protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PP2A-B55-gamma antibody (OS-5) is available as a non-conjugated format. PP2A-B55-gamma protein, also known as PPP2R2C, plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular processes through dephosphorylation of serine and threonine residues on target proteins. This regulatory subunit is part of the larger protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) complex, essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, controlling cell division, and regulating apoptosis. The B55 subfamily, to which PP2A-B55-γ belongs, is particularly important for determining substrate specificity and catalytic activity within the PP2A holoenzyme, a trimeric complex composed of regulatory, variable, and catalytic subunits. PP2A-B55-γ interaction with various catalytic subunits allows precise control over signaling pathways, making PP2A-B55-γ a vital component in cellular function and a significant target for research in cancer and other diseases where these pathways are dysregulated.
