POU2F3 Antibody (6D1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects POU2F3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-POU2F3 antibody (6D1) is available as a non-conjugated format. POU2F3, also known as Oct-11 or transcription factor Skn-1, is a crucial member of the class 2 POU domain family of transcriptional activators, which are essential for cellular differentiation and organ development. POU2F3 is primarily located in the nucleus, where POU2F3 plays a pivotal role in regulating gene expression by binding to octamer or octamer-like sequences in DNA. Nuclear localization of POU2F3 enables direct interaction with transcriptional machinery, thereby influencing expression of genes involved in epidermal stratification and keratinocyte proliferation. POU2F3 is selectively expressed in terminally differentiating epidermal cells and hair follicles, highlighting POU2F3′s importance in skin biology. An N-terminal domain inhibits DNA binding, which can be modulated through alternative splicing to activate expression of cytokeratin 10, a key component in keratinocyte differentiation. Through promoting keratinocyte proliferation and enhancing differentiation, POU2F3 maintains integrity and function of the epidermis.
