SEE ALSO...

PON2 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects PON2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PON2, or paraoxonase 2, plays a crucial role in the hydrolysis of organophosphates and is involved in the detoxification of harmful compounds, which is vital for protecting cells from oxidative stress and inflammation. PON2 is predominantly located in the endoplasmic reticulum of various tissues, including the pancreas, where PON2 contributes to lipid metabolism and cellular defense mechanisms. PON2′s presence in these tissues underscores PON2′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing damage from reactive oxygen species. Anti-PON2 antibody (D-12) is an essential tool for researchers studying the physiological and pathological roles of PON2, enabling insights into PON2′s function and potential therapeutic applications in conditions related to oxidative stress and organophosphate exposure.

I am using PON2 (D-12): sc-373981 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Germaine
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
