SEE ALSO...

Poliovirus Type 3 Antibody (45D5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Poliovirus Type 3 protein of Poliovirus origin by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Poliovirus Type 3 antibody (45D5) is available as a non-conjugated format. Poliovirus Type 3 protein plays a crucial role in poliomyelitis pathogenesis, an infectious disease causing severe neurological complications, including muscle weakness and paralysis. Poliovirus Type 3 protein enables viral replication and spread within hosts by facilitating virus entry into host cells and cytoplasmic replication. Understanding Poliovirus Type 3 protein function remains vital for developing effective vaccines and therapeutic strategies against polio, particularly in endemic regions. Poliomyelitis, commonly known as polio, transmits through fecal-oral routes and can cause serious health issues, including respiratory failure due to intercostal muscle and diaphragm paralysis. Poliovirus, classified as a small RNA picorna-enterovirus, primarily targets gastrointestinal-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT). Three distinct virus types exist: Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3, each with varying epidemiological significance.
