    SEE ALSO...

PNK Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PNK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PNK (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The bifunctional polynucleotide phosphatase/kinase (PNK), also known as polynucleotide kinase-3′-phosphatase, plays a crucial role in DNA repair mechanisms, particularly in response to damage from radiation or oxidative stress. PNK, encoded by the PNKP gene, features a 3′-phosphatase domain that shares similarities with L-2-haloacid dehalogenases and possesses an ATP binding site, which is essential for enzymatic activity. PNK is predominantly located in the nucleus, where PNK catalyzes the phosphorylation of DNA at hydroxy termini while also having the ability to dephosphorylate 3′-phosphate termini. PNK expression is notably high in tissues such as the testis, pancreas, spleen, kidney, and heart, highlighting its importance in cellular processes related to DNA integrity and repair.
