PML Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PML protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PML Antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PML protein, a crucial zinc finger transcription factor, plays a significant role in regulating gene expression and cellular differentiation, particularly in myeloid cells. PML expression is vital for maintaining normal hematopoiesis, and disruptions in PML function, such as those caused by the t(15;17) chromosomal translocation, can lead to acute promyelocytic leukemia. This translocation results in the formation of the PML/RARα chimeric protein, which interferes with normal myeloid differentiation by recruiting the nuclear co-repressor-histone deacetylase complex, ultimately promoting an undifferentiated state and increased cell proliferation. PML protein′s ability to interact with various transcriptional regulators and chromatin-modifying enzymes underscores PML′s importance in both normal cellular processes and the pathogenesis of leukemia, making anti-PML antibody (E-11) an essential tool for researchers studying these critical biological pathways.
