PLTP Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLTP (A-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLTP plays a crucial role in reverse cholesterol transport, which is essential for removing excess cholesterol from cellular membranes, facilitating transport to the liver for excretion into bile. This process is vital for maintaining cellular lipid homeostasis and preventing cholesterol accumulation, which can lead to atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases.
