PLEKHA4 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLEKHA4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLEKHA4 (H-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLEKHA4, also known as Pleckstrin homology domain-containing family A member 4 or PEPP1 (Phosphoinositol 3-phosphate-binding protein 1), is a 779 amino acid protein characterized by a single Pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, which plays a crucial role in intracellular signaling pathways. PLEKHA4 specifically binds to phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate (PtdIns3P), a phospholipid predominantly located on early endosomes, facilitating endosomal trafficking and signaling regulation. PLEKHA4 shows high expression in melanoma, potentially contributing to tumor progression and metastasis, while maintaining low expression in normal tissues such as skeletal muscle, small intestine, liver, heart, and kidney, suggesting a role in cancer-specific pathways. PLEKHA4 gene is located on human chromosome 19, known for high gene density, and produces two isoforms through alternative splicing, which may have distinct functional roles in cellular processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376408 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
