SEE ALSO...

PKA Iβ reg Antibody (QR-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PKA Iβ reg in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PKA Iβ reg antibody (QR-7) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. The PKA Iβ regulatory subunit plays a crucial role in regulating the cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) pathway, which mediates cellular responses to external stimuli. PKA Iβ reg is primarily located in the cytoplasm, forming a tetrameric holoenzyme with two regulatory and two catalytic subunits. The spatial organization of PKA enables rapid and localized signaling in response to cAMP levels, facilitating processes such as gene transcription, metabolism regulation, and ion transport. Upon activation by cAMP, PKA Iβ reg undergoes a conformational change that releases active catalytic subunits, enabling nuclear translocation and phosphorylation of key transcription factors like cAMP response element binding protein (CREB). This phosphorylation event activates genes involved in various physiological processes, highlighting PKA Iβ reg′s significance in cellular signaling and function.

Can sc-100414: PKA Iβ reg (QR-7) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100414: PKA Iβ reg (QR-7) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
