SEE ALSO...

PIR1 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects PIR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PIR1 (B-6) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. PIR1 protein, also known as dual specificity protein phosphatase 11, plays a crucial role in regulating mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases, which are essential for various cellular signaling pathways. These pathways are activated by multiple stimuli and mediate significant physiological and pathological changes within cells. Specifically, PIR1 is involved in dephosphorylating critical phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues on MAP kinases, thereby modulating their activity. This regulation ensures proper functioning of cellular responses to growth factors and stress signals, preventing aberrant signaling that could lead to diseases such as cancer. Additionally, PIR1 interacts with splicing factors like 9G8 and SRp30C, suggesting involvement in nuclear mRNA metabolism, which is essential for gene expression and cellular function.
