PIK3IP1 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PIK3IP1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PIK3IP1 (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PIK3IP1, also known as phosphoinositide-3-kinase interacting protein 1 or HGFL, is a 263 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein characterized by the presence of a kringle domain. PIK3IP1 plays a crucial role as a negative regulator of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway, which is vital for cellular functions such as growth, proliferation, and survival. By inhibiting PI3K activity, PIK3IP1 is involved in the suppression of PI3K-associated hepatocellular carcinoma, highlighting PIK3IP1′s importance in cancer biology. The gene encoding PIK3IP1 is located on human chromosome 22, a region that harbors over 500 genes and is implicated in various genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type 2. Additionally, abnormalities in chromosome 22 can lead to the formation of the Philadelphia Chromosome, resulting in the production of the BCR-Abl fusion protein, which is a significant factor in the pathogenesis of several leukemias.
