PHYHIPL Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PHYHIPL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PHYHIPL antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHYHIPL, also known as phytanoyl-CoA hydroxylase-interacting protein-like, is a 376 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one fibronectin type-III domain and is part of the PHYHIP family. PHYHIPL is conserved across several species, including chimpanzees, dogs, mice, rats, chickens, zebrafish, and Caenorhabditis elegans, and exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms. PHYHIPL is a down-regulated target of the IRX1 gene, a homeobox tumor suppressor gene associated with gastric carcinoma, suggesting its potential role in cancer biology. PHYHIPL may be involved in the development of the central nervous system, highlighting its significance in neurodevelopmental processes. PHYHIPL is located on human chromosome 10q21.1, making this protein a critical component for understanding both normal physiological functions and pathological conditions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514256 P appropriate for?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
