    SEE ALSO...

PHPT1 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PHPT1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHPT1 (C-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHPT1 protein, also known as phosphohistidine phosphatase 1, is a 125 amino acid enzyme that belongs to the Janus protein family and is primarily located in the cytoplasm as a monomer. This enzyme plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by specifically dephosphorylating phosphohistidine residues, which is vital for regulating various biological processes, including cell growth and differentiation. Notably, PHPT1 exhibits no activity towards phosphotyrosine, phosphothreonine, or phosphoserine peptides, highlighting its specificity and importance in phosphohistidine metabolism. First identified in the human adrenal gland, PHPT1 is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart tissues, with lower levels found in the liver, pancreas, and kidney, indicating its significant role in muscle function and cardiovascular health. The conservation of PHPT1 across species underscores its essential functional role in cellular processes, making anti-PHPT1 antibody (C-6) a valuable tool for researchers studying phosphohistidine signaling pathways.
