PECAM-1 Antibody (ER-MP12) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects PECAM-1 in mouse samples through applications such as immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). PECAM-1, also known as CD31, is a crucial glycoprotein expressed on the surfaces of various immune cells, including monocytes, neutrophils, platelets, and a subset of T cells, playing a vital role in mediating cell-cell adhesion and transendothelial migration. PECAM-1 is predominantly located at the intercellular junctions of endothelial cells, where PECAM-1 facilitates the passage of leukocytes from the bloodstream into tissues, a process essential for immune response and inflammation. Proper functioning of PECAM-1 is critical, as dysregulation can lead to impaired immune responses and contribute to various pathological conditions, including chronic inflammation and tumor metastasis. Anti-PECAM-1 antibody (ER-MP12) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying vascular biology, immune cell interactions, and the mechanisms underlying inflammatory diseases, providing insights into the complex roles of cell adhesion molecules in health and disease.

How can PECAM-1 (ER-MP12): sc-52713 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Germaine
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-52713 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-52713 FITC).
