PECAM-1 Antibody (10G9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects human PECAM-1 by immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PECAM-1 antibody (10G9) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PECAM-1, also known as CD31, is a crucial glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, neutrophils, platelets, and a subset of T cells, playing a vital role in mediating cell-cell adhesion and signaling during inflammatory responses and angiogenesis. PECAM-1 is predominantly located at intercellular junctions of endothelial cells, where PECAM-1 facilitates leukocyte migration across vascular endothelium, a process essential for immune surveillance and tissue repair. Understanding PECAM-1 localization and function is important, as PECAM-1 dysregulation can contribute to various pathological conditions, including chronic inflammation and tumor metastasis. PECAM-1 interaction with other adhesion molecules, such as integrins, further underscores PECAM-1′s significance in maintaining vascular integrity and regulating immune responses.
