    SEE ALSO...

PCIF1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PCIF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PCIF1 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PCIF1, also known as Phosphorylated CTD-interacting factor 1 or C20orf67, is a 704 amino acid nuclear protein characterized by the presence of a WW domain. PCIF1 is expressed throughout various tissues and plays a crucial role in transcription elongation, particularly in coupling transcription to pre-mRNA processing by interacting with the phosphorylated carboxy terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II. Notably, PCIF1 also interacts with PDX-1 (pancreatic and duodenal homeobox-1), inhibiting PDX-1 activity and thereby regulating beta-cell differentiation, which is essential for normal pancreatic development. This interaction highlights PCIF1′s importance in pancreatic organogenesis and potential implications in diabetes pathogenesis, making PCIF1 a promising target for therapeutic interventions in diabetes management.
