PCDHGB3 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the PCDHGB3 protein of human origin, as well as the Pcdhgb8 protein of mouse and rat origin, by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PCDHGB3 (F-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Protocadherins, such as PCDHGB3, play a crucial role in the establishment and maintenance of neuronal connections, which is vital for proper brain function and communication between neurons. Specifically, PCDHGB3 is a member of the protocadherin gamma cluster, which consists of three subfamilies (A, B, and C) and includes 22 proteins that are essential for neuronal survival. PCDHGB3, composed of 929 amino acids, features six cadherin motifs and functions as a type I transmembrane receptor predominantly expressed in the central nervous system. PCDHGB3′s localization at synapses underscores its importance in facilitating synaptic connections and neuronal communication. Additionally, PCDHGB3 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in two isoforms that may have distinct functional roles in neuronal development and maintenance.
