Pbx 1/2/3/4 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pbx 1/2/3/4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pbx 1/2/3/4 (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pbx proteins are integral members of the TALE (three amino acid loop extension) family of homeodomain-containing proteins, which play crucial roles in regulating gene expression during development and differentiation. Notably, Pbx 1, 2, 3, and 4 are involved in forming protein complexes that interact with other transcription factors, such as E2A proteins, which are essential for hematopoiesis and lymphocyte development. The interaction between Pbx proteins and these transcription factors is vital for proper regulation of genes involved in cell fate determination and differentiation, highlighting Pbx proteins′ importance in both normal development and disease pathogenesis, including acute leukemias. Pbx 1, 2, and 3 exhibit high sequence homology, particularly in homeobox domains, while Pbx 4 is uniquely expressed in testis, specifically in spermatocytes during meiosis. The ubiquitous expression of Pbx genes in various tissues underscores their fundamental role in cellular processes, making anti-Pbx 1/2/3/4 antibody (F-3) an essential tool for researchers studying gene regulation and developmental biology.

I am using Pbx 1/2/3/4 (F-3): sc-28313 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: AbPolly
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
