  • Parvovirus Antibody (CPV1-2A1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a Parvovirus antibody, cited in 3 publications, provided at 100 µg/ml
  • raised against Parvovirus
  • recommended for detection of canine parvovirus (CPV) and feline panleucopenia virus (FPV) by IF and IHC(P); non cross-reactive with canine adenovirus (type2), canine coronavirus, canine distemper, canine parinfluenza virus, feline leukaemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG2a BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for Parvovirus Antibody (CPV1-2A1) for IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with Parvovirus Antibody (CPV1-2A1) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

Parvovirus Antibody (CPV1-2A1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Parvovirus in Parvovirus species by immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-Parvovirus antibody (CPV1-2A1) is available as a non-conjugated format, specifically targeting the canine parvovirus (CPV) and feline panleucopenia virus (FPV). Parvovirus is a genus within the Parvoviridae family, characterized by a linear, non-segmented single-stranded DNA genome, measuring around 5 kilobases in length. The viral capsid is composed of three proteins—VP1, VP2, and VP3—that assemble into a robust icosahedral structure. This configuration provides resistance to environmental factors such as pH and solvents and withstands temperatures up to 50°C, ensuring viral stability and infectivity. Hairpin structures formed by approximately 115 nucleotide sequences at both the 5′ and 3′ ends of the genome play a significant role in viral replication and packaging processes. Parvoviruses infect a wide range of mammalian species, with Parvovirus B19 being associated with erythema infectiosum, a mild but contagious illness that primarily affects erythroid cells. This poses particular concern for pregnant women, as transmission to the fetus can lead to potential complications. Anti-Parvovirus antibody (CPV1-2A1) accurately detects viral proteins for research and diagnostic applications, contributing to understanding parvoviral infections and their implications in both veterinary and human medicine.
