PARP-3 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-3 (PARP-3) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PARP-3 plays a crucial role in the base excision repair (BER) pathway, where PARP-3 catalyzes the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of nuclear proteins, a vital post-translational modification that occurs in response to DNA damage. This modification is essential for the detection and signaling processes that lead to the repair of DNA strand breaks, thereby maintaining genomic stability. PARP-3 is predominantly located in the nucleus and interacts with PARP-1, highlighting PARP-3′s importance in cellular responses to DNA damage. PARP-3 expression is particularly high in actively dividing tissues, including the kidney, skeletal muscle, liver, heart, and spleen, indicating PARP-3′s significant role in cellular proliferation and repair mechanisms.
