PAR4 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PAR4 of mouse, rat, and human origin through various applications including western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. PAR4 (A-10) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PAR4, known as prostate apoptosis response 4, plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis, a process essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing cancer. PAR4 is specifically expressed in cells undergoing apoptosis, not activated by growth factor stimulation, oxidative stress, necrosis, or growth arrest, highlighting a unique function in programmed cell death. PAR4 contains a putative nuclear localization signal and a carboxy-terminal leucine zipper, which are important for function in the nucleus and interactions with other proteins involved in apoptotic pathways. Aberrant regulation of apoptosis can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation and tumorigenesis, making PAR4 a significant marker for studying cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
