Pan3 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pan3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pan3 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pan3, also known as PAB-dependent poly(A)-specific ribonuclease subunit 3, is a 741 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in regulating mRNA stability and decay, essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and gene expression. Located in the cytoplasm, Pan3 functions as a key component of the Pan nuclease complex, interacting with polyadenylate-binding protein to enhance Pan2 nuclease activity, facilitating mRNA molecule degradation. This process controls mRNA levels in the cell, influencing various cellular processes such as development, differentiation, and response to environmental stimuli. Pan3 exists in three isoforms generated through alternative splicing, and the Pan3 gene is situated on human chromosome 13, a region harboring over 400 genes, including critical tumor suppressor genes like BRCA2 and RB1.
