Pan CEA Antibody (TET2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CEA antibody (TET2) is particularly valuable in clinical diagnostics as CEA serves as a crucial tumor marker, primarily associated with various carcinomas, including colorectal cancer. CEA (TET2) monoclonal antibody recognizes proteins predominantly located on the cell surface, where CEA plays a significant role in cell adhesion and signaling, essential for maintaining tissue architecture and facilitating communication between cells. This localization is vital because alterations in CEA expression can indicate tumor progression and metastasis, making CEA a key target for monitoring cancer treatment and recurrence. CEA belongs to the carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule (CEACAM) family, involved in numerous cellular processes, including immune response modulation and angiogenesis. Human CEACAM proteins are encoded by genes clustered on chromosome 19, and their expression patterns can provide insights into tumor biology and patient prognosis.

How can pan CEA (TET2): sc-59875 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: jenniferc
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-59875 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-59875 FITC).
