PADI2 Antibody (4D4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PADI2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PADI2 antibody (4D4) is available as the non-conjugated format. The protein arginine deiminase (PAD) family, which includes PADI2, is essential for the post-translational modification of proteins through the deimination process, converting arginine residues into citrulline in the presence of calcium. This modification is crucial for various cellular processes, including gene regulation, cell signaling, and the modulation of protein interactions. PADI2 is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and is particularly abundant in eosinophils and neutrophils, where PADI2 may influence immune responses. Notably, the epidermis is the only tissue that expresses all four PAD isoforms (PADI1-4), highlighting PADI2′s importance in skin biology.
