p73 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect all isoforms of human and monkey p73, also known as TP73. p73 monoclonal antibody (E-4) targets an epitope within amino acids 1-80 at the N-terminus of p73, ensuring robust performance in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p73 is activated in response to cellular stress signals, including DNA damage and oncogene activation, through phosphorylation and other post-translational modifications, with activity and function depending on specific isoform expression and cellular context, promoting cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, or survival. The p73 gene, located on chromosome 1, a region frequently deleted in neuroblastomas, encodes multiple isoforms such as p73α and p73β, which have opposing effects on apoptosis. p73α inhibits apoptosis while p73β promotes it, thereby maintaining a critical balance that prevents malignant transformation. This equilibrium between isoforms is vital for cellular regulation and cancer prevention. anti-p73 antibody (E-4) is available in both non-conjugated form and various conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, offering versatility for diverse experimental setups. p73 (E-4) antibody enables researchers to effectively investigate the complex roles of p73 isoforms in tumor suppression and apoptosis regulation, making this tool indispensable in cancer research and molecular biology.
