    SEE ALSO...

p53RFP Antibody (U-16) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects p53RFP protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p53RFP antibody (U-16) is available as the non-conjugated format. p53RFP protein plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle and apoptosis, acting as a key player in cellular response to stress and DNA damage. Specifically, p53RFP, also known as IBRDC2, functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, facilitating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins that may otherwise promote cell cycle progression. This post-translational modification helps maintain cellular homeostasis and prevents damaged DNA propagation, thereby safeguarding against tumorigenesis. p53RFP interaction with specific E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes underscores p53RFP importance in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, which is essential for regulating various cellular processes, including cell cycle and apoptosis. Using p53RFP monoclonal antibody (U-16), researchers can gain insights into p53RFP expression dynamics and implications in cancer biology, particularly in understanding how p53RFP dysregulation may contribute to tumor development and progression.

I am using p53RFP (U-16): sc-101247 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
