p38 alpha MAPK14 Antibody (9F12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody specifically engineered to recognize p38 alpha MAPK14, also known as p38α, CSBP, MXI2, or MAP kinase 14, across mouse, rat, and human species. p38 alpha MAPK14 monoclonal antibody (9F12) is raised against the full-length recombinant human p38 alpha MAPK14 and is effective in a variety of applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). p38 alpha MAPK14 is a critical member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) family, distinguished by its single protein kinase domain which is essential for its role in cellular signaling pathways. The structure of p38 alpha MAPK14, particularly its kinase domain and dependence on magnesium as a cofactor, is fundamental to its ATP-dependent phosphorylation activity, allowing modification of target proteins by adding phosphate groups to threonine and tyrosine residues. This structural configuration is pivotal for involvement in key biological processes such as cell adhesion, spreading, differentiation, and apoptosis. Understanding the intricate structure of p38 alpha MAPK14 enables researchers to elucidate its function in various signal transduction pathways, cytokine production, and cell proliferation. anti-p38 alpha MAPK14 antibody (9F12) is available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated variants, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing flexibility for diverse experimental requirements.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use to detect p38 protein levelsThis antibody is very useful for protein detection in animal cell compartments. In particular, we used this antibody to detect protein levels in nuclear and cytosolic cell compartments in hippocampus and prefrontal cortex of mice and rats. In general, we are very satisfied with the obtained results, because Ab displayed high purity and clear bands in Western blot. Dilution up to 1:1000 for Western blot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good antibody for western blotThe batch of antibody I have worked well on HeLa, NIH/3T3, Jurkat and K562 total cell extracts for western Blot. Observed: a weak specific band around 37kDa. The antibody was diluted 500 times into 5% BSA, into TBST with an overnight incubation at 4°C.
