p33ING1 Antibody (CAb 3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects p33ING1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. p33ING1 Antibody (CAb 3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. p33ING1 protein, which is 422 amino acids in length and encoded by the human gene ING1, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and apoptosis. As a member of the ING family, p33ING1 contains a PHD-type zinc finger that is essential for interaction with tumor suppressor protein p53/TP53, thereby modulating p53-dependent transcriptional activation. This interaction is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation, which is a hallmark of cancer. p33ING1 isoform is ubiquitously expressed across normal tissues, while other isoforms, such as p24ING1, show tissue-specific expression patterns, highlighting p33ING1′s importance in various biological processes. anti-p33ING1 antibody (CAb 3) in multiple formats allows for versatile applications in research, facilitating the study of its role in cancer biology and other cellular functions.

Can p33ING1 (CAb 3): sc-21728 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, p33ING1 (CAb 3): sc-21728 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
