p19 INK4D Antibody (DCS-100) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects p19 INK4D of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p19 INK4D antibody (DCS-100) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. p19 INK4D plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle by specifically inhibiting the activities of cyclin-dependent kinases Cdk4 and Cdk6, which are essential for the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase of the cell cycle. This inhibition is vital for maintaining proper cell cycle control, as dysregulation can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation and contribute to tumorigenesis. Notably, p19 INK4D is expressed at its highest levels during the S phase, and overexpression can induce G1 arrest, highlighting p19 INK4D′s importance in cellular responses to growth signals and stress. The gene encoding p19 INK4D is located in close proximity to the p16 INK4A gene on chromosome 9p21.3, a region frequently associated with chromosomal abnormalities in various human cancers. p19 INK4D monoclonal antibody (DCS-100) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of cell cycle regulation and the potential implications for cancer biology.
