SEE ALSO...

p-PKA IIα reg Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects Ser 96 phosphorylated PKAα in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-PKA IIα reg (C-5) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. PKAα plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in the context of the second messenger cyclic AMP (cAMP), which is essential for mediating a wide range of physiological responses, including cell proliferation, ion transport, metabolic regulation, and gene transcription. Upon binding of cAMP to the regulatory subunits of the tetrameric PKA holoenzyme, the active catalytic subunits are released, allowing PKA to phosphorylate target proteins, including the transcription factor cAMP response element binding protein (CREB). This phosphorylation event facilitates the recruitment of transcriptional machinery to initiate gene expression, thereby linking extracellular signals to cellular responses. Understanding PKAα function and regulatory mechanisms is important for elucidating pathways involved in various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders, making p-PKA IIα reg (C-5) antibody a valuable research tool.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377575 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
