SEE ALSO...

p-paxillin Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Tyr 118 phosphorylated paxillin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p-paxillin antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Paxillin plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and adhesion, acting as a scaffold that facilitates the assembly of signaling complexes at focal adhesions. Paxillin′s interaction with focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is particularly important, as this interaction is essential for regulating tyrosine phosphorylation in response to cell adhesion. Phosphorylation of paxillin is a key event in signaling pathways activated by various growth factors and oncogenes, which can lead to significant changes in cell behavior, including migration and proliferation. Dynamic regulation of paxillin through tyrosine phosphorylation is vital for reorganizing the actin cytoskeleton, which is critical for maintaining cell shape and motility. In glomerular epithelial cells, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) induces substantial reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and focal adhesions, highlighting paxillin′s importance in mediating these cellular responses.
