p-MYPT1 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 695 phosphorylated MYPT1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-MYPT1 (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myosin phosphatase target subunit 1 (MYPT1), also known as the myosin-binding subunit of myosin phosphatase, plays a crucial role in regulating the interaction between actin and myosin, which is essential for muscle contraction and cellular motility. Phosphorylation of MYPT1 at specific sites, such as Ser 695, is vital for modulating activity and, consequently, the phosphorylation state of myosin light chains. This regulation is particularly important in smooth muscle cells, where MYPT1′s activity influences calcium sensitivity and contraction dynamics. MYPT1 is localized on stress fibers and is found near the cell membrane and at cell-cell junctions, highlighting a role in maintaining cellular architecture and function.
