    SEE ALSO...

p-HMGN3 Antibody (47.Ser 31) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 31 phosphorylated HMGN3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-HMGN3 (47.Ser 31) antibody is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. HMGN3, also known as high mobility group nucleosome-binding domain-containing protein 3 or thyroid receptor-interacting protein 7, is a 99 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in chromatin dynamics. Localized primarily in the nucleus, HMGN3 is essential for enhancing transcription from chromatin templates by reducing the compactness of chromatin fibers within nucleosomes, thereby facilitating access for transcription factors and other regulatory proteins. This function is particularly important in the regulation of gene expression, as HMGN3 allows for precise control of cellular responses to various stimuli, including hormonal signals. HMGN3 is induced by estrogen and is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, kidney, and heart, with lower expression levels in the liver, pancreas, and lung. Additionally, HMGN3 exists in two isoforms generated through alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity in different tissues. anti-HMGN3 antibody (47.Ser 31) specifically recognizes phosphorylated HMGN3, making p-HMGN3 (47.Ser 31) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for studying regulatory mechanisms of gene expression and the role of post-translational modifications in cellular processes.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-135764 X be used instead of the standard form sc-135764?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
