p-gp130 Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects phosphorylated gp130 (p-gp130) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-gp130 (A-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. gp130 plays a crucial role in signaling pathways activated by interleukin-6 (IL-6) and related cytokines, functioning as a common signal transducer for several receptor complexes. gp130′s ability to form a dimer with another gp130 molecule upon IL-6 receptor activation is essential for initiating downstream signaling cascades that regulate various biological processes, including inflammation, immune response, and hematopoiesis. Notably, phosphorylation of Ser 782, located near the di-leucine motif of gp130, is critical for modulating receptor internalization and cell surface expression, thereby influencing the intensity and duration of signaling response. anti-p-gp130 antibody (A-12) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying cytokine signaling mechanisms and their implications in various diseases.
