p-DAPK Antibody (DKPS308) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Ser 308 phosphorylated DAPK in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-DAPK (DKPS308) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in various experimental setups. Death-associated protein kinase (DAPK) plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis, a vital process for maintaining cellular homeostasis and eliminating damaged or potentially cancerous cells. DAPK is primarily located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the nucleus in response to apoptotic signals, highlighting DAPK′s importance in cellular decision-making processes. Phosphorylation of DAPK at Ser 308 modulates kinase activity and ability to induce apoptosis. This regulation is essential for understanding how DAPK functions in different cellular contexts, especially in cancer biology, where apoptosis evasion is a hallmark of tumor progression. DAPK interacts with various proteins involved in apoptotic signaling pathways, further underscoring DAPK′s role as a critical mediator in the balance between cell survival and death.
