Datasheets
  • DAPK Antibody (17) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ DAPK antibody, cited in 2 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 694-947 of DAPK of human origin
  • recommended for detection of DAPK of human origin by WB, IP and IF; not recommended for IP
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for DAPK Antibody (17) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with DAPK Antibody (17) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

DAPK Antibody (17) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DAPK protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-DAPK antibody (17) is available as the non-conjugated format. DAPK protein, or death-associated protein kinase, plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis, a vital process for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing tumorigenesis. DAPK is characterized by its "death domain," which is essential for mediating apoptosis in response to various stimuli, including interferon-gamma. Introduction of DAPK into highly metastatic carcinoma clones lacking DAPK expression has been shown to suppress metastasis, highlighting DAPK′s significant role in cancer biology. DAPK interacts with other proteins involved in apoptotic signaling pathways, underscoring DAPK′s importance in cellular responses to stress and damage. DAPK′s ability to influence cell fate decisions makes DAPK a critical target for research in cancer therapeutics and understanding of apoptotic mechanisms.
