SEE ALSO...

p-Bad Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 136 phosphorylated Bad in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-Bad (F-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Bad, a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family, plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis, and phosphorylation at serine 136 is essential for mediating cell survival signals from growth factors. This phosphorylation event is necessary for the recruitment of 14-3-3 proteins, which enhance the accessibility of serine 155 to survival-promoting kinases, while also inhibiting the pro-apoptotic function of Bad by disrupting interaction with prosurvival Bcl-2 proteins. The intricate regulation of Bad through phosphorylation at these key sites underscores its importance in cellular responses to stress and survival, making p-Bad (F-6) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying apoptosis and cell signaling pathways.
