Ox40L Antibody (3H1846) is a rat monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Ox40L in mouse samples through flow cytometry (FCM). Ox40L, also known as gp34, is a type II membrane protein that plays a pivotal role in the immune response as a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily. Ox40L is primarily expressed on activated B cells and is crucial for facilitating interactions between dendritic cells and T cells, which are essential for effective immune responses. The engagement of Ox40L with its receptor, Ox40, provides a strong costimulatory signal that enhances the activation and proliferation of effector T cells. This interaction is particularly important during the priming and effector phases of T cell activation, as Ox40L significantly influences antigen-specific T cell responses in vivo. Understanding the function of Ox40L is vital, as Ox40L not only contributes to T cell homing and B cell activation but also has implications in various immunological disorders and therapeutic strategies, making Ox40L a key target for research in immunology and cancer therapy.
