SEE ALSO...

Ox40 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ox40 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Ox40 antibody (H-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ox40, also known as CD134 or Ox40R, is a crucial member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family, playing a significant role in the immune response by regulating T cell activation and survival. Ox40 is predominantly expressed on activated CD4+ T lymphocytes, where Ox40 interacts with Ox40L, primarily found on activated B cells. This interaction provides a strong costimulatory signal that enhances T cell proliferation and cytokine production, promoting effective immune responses. Ox40 serves as a key player in various physiological processes, including the coordination of CD4 T cell selection, migration, and differentiation into T helper (Th)1 and Th2 cells. Members of the TNFR superfamily, including Ox40, are critically involved in the regulation of infections, inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and tissue homeostasis, highlighting anti-Ox40 antibody (H-10) as a valuable tool for research in immunology and therapeutic applications.

Can Ox40 (H-10): sc-376014 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Ox40 (H-10): sc-376014 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
