OX2 Antibody (3H1979) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects OX2 in human samples through flow cytometry (FCM). OX2, also known as CD200, is a critical member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF) and functions as a cell surface glycoprotein composed of 248 amino acids. CD200 plays a vital role in modulating immune responses by interacting with OX2R, which is predominantly expressed in lymphoid and neuronal tissues. The interaction between CD200 and OX2R helps regulate inflammatory responses, particularly by suppressing macrophage activation, thereby preventing excessive tissue damage during immune reactions. OX2R is characterized by a high degree of N-linked glycosylation, accounting for up to 70% of its molecular weight, which is essential for stability and function. The cytoplasmic domain of OX2R contains NPXY motifs that facilitate interactions with specific binding domains, further underscoring CD200′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. Anti-OX2 antibody (3H1979) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune regulation and related pathways in human tissues.
