Osteocalcin Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects osteocalcin, osteocalcin-2, and osteocalcin-related protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-osteocalcin antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Osteocalcin, also known as BGLAP or BGP, is a crucial non-collagenous protein predominantly produced by osteoblasts and plays a significant role in bone mineralization. Osteocalcin is primarily located in the extracellular matrix of bone tissue, where binding to hydroxyapatite occurs in a calcium-dependent manner, facilitating the mineralization process essential for maintaining bone strength and integrity.
