SEE ALSO...

Osteocalcin Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects osteocalcin, osteocalcin-2, and osteocalcin-related protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-osteocalcin antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Osteocalcin, also known as BGLAP or BGP, is a crucial non-collagenous protein predominantly produced by osteoblasts and plays a significant role in bone mineralization. Osteocalcin is primarily located in the extracellular matrix of bone tissue, where binding to hydroxyapatite occurs in a calcium-dependent manner, facilitating the mineralization process essential for maintaining bone strength and integrity. Osteocalcin presence in the bone matrix is vital, contributing to the structural framework of bone while serving as a marker for bone turnover and metabolic activity. Genetic variations at the osteocalcin locus on chromosome 1q have been associated with postmenopausal bone mineral density levels, highlighting osteocalcin′s importance in understanding osteoporosis risk in women.

Je suis intéressé par l'anticorps anti-ostéocalcine de souris (C-7) : sc-376726. je souhaiterais savoir quel pH (pH 6, pH 9 ou les deux) est approprié pour le traitement des coupes lors de l'étape de demasquage.

Asked by: daniCherc

I want know if you have any Osteocalcin Ab which can detect rabbit osteocalcin.

Asked by: imran621
Thank you for your question. We have not tested any of our osteocalcin antibodies on rabbit samples. However, we are aware of one publication citing use of one of our antibodies on rabbit samples. That is our mouse monoclonal antibody, osteocalcin (E-6): sc-376835. A link to the product information for this antibody on our website is below. As well as a link to the product citation using the antibody for IF in rabbit cornea sections. https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/osteocalcin-antibody-e-6 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3682981/

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376726 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Hi! I wanna to know if I can use osteocalcin Antibody (C-7): sc-376726 to do Flourescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) for osteocalcin positive cells. please help me to know if this is possible and the protocol for this. thanks

Asked by: Mahmoud
Thank you for your question. This antibody has not been tested for FACS analysis, so we can not recommend it for that application. However, it is a strong antibody so it may work fine. Our recommended protocol for FACS analysis can be found by the link below, and we recommend a starting dilution of 1µg per million cells if you wish to try it for this application: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/flow-cytometry If you have any further questions, please contact our Asia Technical Service team. You can reach them by phone at (86 21) 6093-6350, by email at: asia@scbio.cn or by live chat directly on our website, www.scbt.com
