Oct-3/4 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects amino acids 16-45 near the N-terminus of Oct-3/4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Oct-3/4 monoclonal antibody (A-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POU5F1, also known as Oct-3/4, plays a critical role in maintaining pluripotency and self-renewal of embryonic stem cells, which is essential for early development and tissue regeneration. Oct-3/4 (A-9) antibody targets this transcription factor in the nucleus, where Oct-3/4 binds to specific DNA sequences to regulate gene expression involved in stem cell maintenance and differentiation. Oct-3/4′s ability to modulate gene expression is vital for proper development of various tissues and organs, and dysregulation can lead to developmental disorders and cancer. In humans, two isoforms of Oct-3/4 influence the undifferentiated state of embryonic stem cells, while pseudogenes associated with Oct-3/4 are transcribed in certain cancer cell lines, highlighting Oct-3/4′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states. Oct-3/4 (A-9) monoclonal antibody provides a versatile tool for detecting and studying Oct-3/4′s critical functions in stem cell biology, development, and disease research.
