  • raised against amino acids 681-730 mapping within a C-terminal cytoplasmic domain of OB-cadherin of human origin
  • OB-cadherin Antibody (F-3) is recommended for detection of OB-cadherin (cadherin-11) of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • Anti-OB-cadherin Antibody (F-3) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for OB-cadherin Antibody (F-3) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with OB-cadherin Antibody (F-3) (see ordering information below).

OB-cadherin Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects OB-cadherin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OB-cadherin Antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The cadherin family, to which OB-cadherin belongs, consists of calcium-dependent adhesion molecules that play a vital role in cell-cell adhesion, thereby maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating morphogenetic processes. OB-cadherin, also known as osteoblast-cadherin, cadherin-11, or OSF-4, exists in two isoforms: OB-cadherin-1 and OB-cadherin-2, with the latter featuring a truncated cytoplasmic domain that lacks amino acids 694-796. Both isoforms are predominantly expressed in osteoblastic cell lines, with lower levels detected in tissues such as the lungs, testis, and brain. OB-cadherin′s significance extends beyond structural roles; OB-cadherin is also involved in signaling pathways that regulate osteoblast differentiation and function, making OB-cadherin a critical target for studies related to bone development and pathology.
