Furthermore, the Nup98-HoxA9 fusion protein, resulting from the t(7;11)(p15;p15) translocation in acute myeloid leukemia, highlights Nup98′s role in leukemogenesis, potentially through the inhibition of HoxA9-mediated terminal differentiation and aberrant nucleocytoplasmic transport.
