Nup50 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Nup50 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nup50 (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nup50, also known as nucleoporin 50 or NPAP60, is a crucial component of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs), which facilitate the transport of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm. This 468 amino acid protein plays a vital role as a binding site for export receptor-cargo complexes, localizing to the nucleoplasmic fibrils of the NPC. Nup50′s interaction with various transport receptor proteins, including p27, underscores its importance in cellular transport mechanisms. The presence of multiple phenylalanine-glycine (FG) repeats and a RanBD1 domain in Nup50 contributes to its functionality and interaction with other nucleoporins, which are essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of nucleocytoplasmic transport. While Nup50 is ubiquitously expressed, Nup50 is particularly abundant in peripheral blood leukocytes, testis, and fetal liver, highlighting its significance in both normal physiology and potential pathological conditions.
