    SEE ALSO...

NTAL Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NTAL protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NTAL Antibody (D-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The non-T cell activation linker (NTAL), also known as the membrane-associated adapter molecule, Williams-Beuren syndrome chromosome region 15 protein, or linker of activated B cells, plays a crucial role in immune signaling. NTAL is primarily located in membrane microdomains, or lipid rafts, of B cells, natural killer cells, and myeloid cells, as well as in monocytes and mast cells, but is absent in resting T lymphocytes. This strategic localization is vital for NTAL function, as NTAL becomes rapidly tyrosine-phosphorylated upon cross-linking of the B cell receptor or high-affinity Fc γ and Fc epsilon receptors, facilitating association with cytoplasmic signaling molecules that propagate immune responses. NTAL is highly expressed in the spleen, lymph node germinal centers, and peripheral blood lymphocytes, underscoring NTAL importance in the immune system. Notably, defects in the gene encoding NTAL can lead to the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular abnormalities associated with the rare developmental disorder Williams-Beuren syndrome.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271000 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
