NTAL Antibody (6D620) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Non-T cell activation linker (NTAL) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-NTAL antibody (6D620) recognizes NTAL, a crucial transmembrane adaptor protein that plays a significant role in immune cell signaling. Located in membrane microdomains, or lipid rafts, NTAL is predominantly found in B cells, natural killer (NK) cells, myeloid cells, monocytes, and mast cells, but is absent in resting T lymphocytes. This strategic localization is vital as NTAL undergoes rapid tyrosine phosphorylation upon cross-linking of the B cell receptor (BCR) or high-affinity Fc γ and Fc ε receptors, leading to the recruitment of cytoplasmic signaling molecules that are essential for effective immune responses. NTAL expression is particularly high in the spleen, lymph node germinal centers, and peripheral blood lymphocytes, underscoring NTAL′s importance in the adaptive immune system. Furthermore, mutations in the NTAL gene are linked to the developmental disorder Williams-Beuren syndrome, which is characterized by musculoskeletal and cardiovascular abnormalities, highlighting NTAL′s critical role in both immune function and overall health.
