NT-3 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NT-3 (A-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NT-3 monoclonal antibody (A-4) recognizes a protein crucial for nervous system development and maintenance by promoting specific neuronal populations′ survival and differentiation. NT-3 is primarily located in the extracellular space, where binding to high-affinity receptor TrkC mediates neuroprotective effects. NT-3 and TrkC interaction supports sensory and motor neuron function by influencing neuronal survival and synaptic connection formation. NT-3 also interacts with other neurotrophins and receptors, contributing to a signaling network regulating neuronal health and plasticity. Research on NT-3 and receptor interactions helps develop therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases and injuries.
