    SEE ALSO...

NSP3 Antibody (J-16.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NSP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NSP3 Antibody (J-16.1) is available as non-conjugated anti-NSP3 antibody (J-16.1). NSP3, also known as novel SH2-containing protein 3, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly those involving the Eph family of receptor tyrosine kinases, which are essential for various developmental processes such as cell migration and axon guidance. NSP3 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is expressed in both embryonic and adult brain tissues, highlighting NSP3′s importance in neural development and function. NSP3 contains a Src homology 2 domain that specifically binds to a conserved tyrosine-phosphorylated motif in the juxtamembrane region of the EphB2 receptor, suggesting NSP3 may act as a critical mediator in the signaling cascade initiated by Eph receptors. Notably, NSP3 can be heavily tyrosine-phosphorylated in the presence of activated EphB2, indicating NSP3 may also serve as a substrate for EphB2 kinase activity. By linking activated Eph receptors to small Ras superfamily GTPases, NSP3 is integral to the regulation of cellular responses to Eph receptor signaling, making NSP3 a significant target for research in developmental biology and neurobiology.

Can sc-100792: NSP3 (J-16.1) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100792: NSP3 (J-16.1) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
