SEE ALSO...

Nrf1 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects Nrf1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nrf1 monoclonal antibody (E-4) is specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 121-157 near the N-terminus of Nrf1 of human origin. Anti-Nrf1 antibody (E-4), a member of the Cap ′n′ collar (CNC) family of bZIP transcription factors, plays a crucial role in cellular defense mechanisms by regulating the expression of genes involved in the antioxidant response and detoxification processes. Nrf1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where translocation occurs in response to oxidative stress and xenobiotic exposure, allowing activation of target genes such as those encoding detoxifying enzymes. Nrf1′s ability to heterodimerize with other proteins, including MafK and members of the Jun family, enhances transcriptional activity, making Nrf1 essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and protecting against oxidative damage. Anti-Nrf1 antibody (E-4) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of oxidative stress response and the regulation of detoxification pathways in various biological contexts.

Why are NRF1antibodies are detected at different molecular weight? I understand NRF1 is activated by proteolytic cleavage but are these antibodies detecting epitope which is present in the cleaved and parental form?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice for IHC(P)This monoclonal Nrf1 Antibody (E-4) is a great choice for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections in mouse, rat, human, canine or bovine samples. It also works for Western blot, although alternative clone, Nrf1 (H-4: sc-28379, has much stronger results in-house for Western blot.
